Il Laboratorio di Calcolo Avanzato si è costituito nel 1998 e consiste a tutt'oggi di 6 stazioni di lavoro a singolo processore modello alpha Compaq, una stazione di lavoro biprocessore (modello Ultimate), un alpha server ES40 Compaq (4 processori), due server biprocessore DS20E Compaq, una Silicon Graphic e, dal maggio del 2004 di un cluster (36 processori) Xeon. |
